Этому дала, и этому дала, а Space X - НЕ ДАЛА!

Отвлечемся пока от темы Байконура, тут  Министерство обороны (точнее ВВС) США устроило "раздачу грантов" не виданной щедрости:

The Air Force on Wednesday gave $967 million to ULA to help develop the Vulcan booster and an upgraded Centaur upper stage,

Northrop won $792 million to develop the OmegA, which would fly from Kennedy Space Center and use former space shuttle infrastructure.$

500 million will go to Blue Origin’s New Glenn, which will be manufactured in a KSC factory and fly from the Cape’s Launch Complex 36 as soon as 2020.
В общем ни один из конкурентов Спейс Х не ушел с пустыми руками..А что Спейс Х??? Ему в утешенье  сказали пару добрых слов:
"It is important to note that SpaceX is a valuable partner to the launch service community and the (next) solicitation will be a full and open competition for all launch providers who have a low-risk proposal to achieve Air Force certification prior to initial launch," the Air Force said in a statement...

В принципе, из новых разработок на будущее у Спейс Х только BFR , которая на фиг не нужна военным..но в целом сдается мне, что такое откровенное подыгрывание конкурентам Спейс Х явно высказывает глубокое неприятие военными Элона Маска с его нынешними скандалами с британцем дайвером, SEC , да и от курения косяка на радио Пентагоновцы явно не в восторге..
